Actress Katrina Kaif Beats Britney Spears as Most Searched Person on Internet

Based on the Global Video Insights Article for September 2011, published by Vuclip, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is the most widely searched movie star on mobile videos. Britney Spears and Linday Lohan are on 2nd and 3rd place respectively within this category whilst Kareena Kapoor is on the fourth place, and singer Beyonce Knowles is on fifth. Indin heroine Sonakshi Sinha is on sixth place. Singer Pitbull, Justin Bieber, Shakira and Don Omar are too in the top ten.

“A Bollywood actress leading in front of her global peers in mobile video searches globaly is a statement to the truth that mobile videos have at last taken off in India in a big way,” said Salman Hussain, Vuclip’s vice president stated.

“Every month we observe more and more Indians viewing videos on their mobile screen using not just smart phones but even basic feature phones.

Back home, Sachin Tendulkar is the most searched male personality in mobile movies in India.

Among the most watched clips in India, topping the graphs had been Ajay Devgn’s joke on Kangana Ranaut’s swimming suit take for the movie Rascals, followed by Vidya Balan’s 2 gossip videos regarding The Dirty Picture.

Baba Ramdev’s answer to Rakhi Sawant’s wedding proposition too made it to the top 5 most watched mobile videos in India in September.

Among the top mobile devices people used to look at videos globally, Apple’s iPhone continued to command the list. It was followed by RIM’s Blackberry handsets that secured seven spots in the top ten mobile devices list for September, followed by 2 Nokia handsets.
